Do you want to start earning high school credits?  Earning credits now will free up your school schedule for classes you want to take in high school.  There are several options to earn credits outside of school. If you are interested, be sure to talk with your counselor first.  Taking online high school courses while in junior high isn't for everyone. Granite Online Learning offers a variety of  junior high and high school courses that grades 7-12 can take during the summer.  Also, there are high school courses offered online during the school year.   Here is the procedure to take a course online:
  1. Fill out the attached registration form​​ and return it to your counselor.

Other Credit Earning Options:
Northridge Learning Center -complete packets that are approximately $50 per quarter credit
University of Utah  -summer classes in person
BYU Independent Study
Be sure to talk with your counselor when signing up for online courses.  Granite Online Learning requires counselors to be involved with the sign-up process. Students can sign up by themselves for BYU Independent Study, University of Utah, and Northridge Learning.  However, not all courses give students credit for high school so be sure to speak with your counselor if you have any questions.
